Experts: Early childhood education programs essential

BOSTON HERALD: High-quality pre-kindergarten programs offer far more educational benefits than a traditional day care or at-home babysitter, experts said.

“In order for children to be successful, they have to have a strong foundation,” said Marci Young, director of Pre-K Now, a program run by the Pew Center on the States, a nonprofit think tank in Washington, D.C.
